Making WRC Accessible.

Problem

The World Rally Championship (WRC) is an international rally series spanning 13 different countries – each bringing varying conditions and surfaces into the mix to produce a spectacle like no other within motorsport. Each rally spans 15-25 individual stages spread throughout the host country. Although this format brings motorsport to its fans and communities, it also makes following the championship live challenging due to logistical and practicality issues.

Solution

Having identified this issue, we approached Volkswagen (the reigning WRC manufacturers champions) with a digital concept that would engage fans, keep them updated of the teams progress over the course of the rally.

The resulting dashboard utilised WRC live feeds along with video and social content to help keep VW fans worldwide informed wherever the location of the rally.
