Carrs Pasties.

Refreshing an iconic Bolton brand.

Problem

Carrs Pasties (est. 1938), are an iconic Bolton based bakery whose popularity is on the rise across the North-West and beyond. Their delicious pasties speak for themselves, but unlike their freshly baked products the brand was stale and didn’t reflect the brand in a modern world.

Solution

The brand required freshening up to bring out the brands distinctive personality across their communications. Through engaging narrative we gave each product an individual look and feel with a bespoke typographic treatment. We then added striking paper cut backgrounds to illustrate the craft of Carrs and the tasty products and ingredients within their pasties.

Carrs stores are currently being kitted out with animated digital menus, promotional posters and in-store POS. Additionally trade stores are also reaping the benefits with refreshed signage and product branding with sign-ups increasing over 700% (on the year previous). 

Overall the refresh has been extremely well received and now truly reflects to the quality products and craft of Carrs. It is befitting of a historic brand entering a new chapter in their unique story.
